Installer standards

Businesses must be approved before they can receive enquiries through the platform. This page describes how we assess applications and what staying in the network requires. We publish it so both sides know where they stand: businesses requesting quotes can see what approval means, and installers can see what we'll ask of them.

What assessment covers

Applications can be assessed using:

  • Business identity. Legal entity, trading name and an ABN we validate, because we deal with real, identifiable businesses only.
  • Insurance. Current public liability cover appropriate for commercial sites; we may request a certificate of currency.
  • Relevant experience. Time in trade and demonstrated window-film work, not just general glazing or signage.
  • Commercial project capability. Evidence of handling commercial-scale jobs: multi-pane projects, site inductions, after-hours work.
  • Service coverage. Clearly-defined areas the business genuinely services, so matches are honest on both sides.
  • Customer feedback and public reputation. Public review profiles and references where available.
  • Responsiveness. Willingness to contact matched customers within one business day.

What continued membership involves

Approval is not permanent by default. Ongoing performance in the network matters:

  • Quote quality. Named films, written warranties, itemised scopes: the things our public guides teach customers to expect.
  • Acceptance and response behaviour. Persistent non-response to matched enquiries reduces future matching priority and can lead to removal.
  • Complaints and recurring issues. We review complaints from matched customers; patterns lead to suspension or removal.
  • Respecting consent. Customer details are for the matched enquiry only. Adding customers to marketing lists without their separate consent is grounds for removal.

Honest notes on where we are

This platform and its network are new and growing. The standards above describe our admission process and what we assess. They are commitments about how the network is run, not a claim that a large established network already exists. We would rather grow slowly with businesses that quote well than pad a directory. As the network matures, matching increasingly weighs real performance data: acceptance rates, responsiveness and customer outcomes.

For customers

Approval means a business passed the checks above at admission and remains in good standing. It is not a guarantee of workmanship, and any contract for work is directly between you and the installer. Our comparison guide shows you how to evaluate the quotes themselves, which no approval process replaces.

For installers

If the standards above sound like how you already work, we'd like your application:apply here. No charge to apply, no automatic approval, and lead settings (areas, caps, pausing) stay in your control.
