Terms of use

These terms govern your use of OfficeWindowTinting.com.au (the "site"), operated by the operator of OfficeWindowTinting.com.au. By using the site you accept them. They're written to be readable; the plain meaning is the intended one.

1. What the service is

The site is an independent quote-comparison and matching service. When you submit a quote request with consent, we share it with up to three independent window-tinting businesses that may be able to quote for the project. We also publish general information about commercial window film.

2. What the service is not

• We are not an installer and do not perform, supervise, or warrant any tinting work.
• We are not a party to any contract between you and an installer. Quotes, advice, workmanship, warranties, invoicing and disputes are between you and them.
• We do not guarantee that any particular number of businesses (or any at all) will respond to a request, since matching depends on available, suitable, approved businesses.
• Site content is general information, not professional advice about your glazing, building compliance, insurance or legal position.

3. Using the quote service

• Provide accurate information, and only request quotes for properties you're entitled to request them for (owners, tenants, managers, or with the relevant decision-maker's knowledge).
• Don't submit spam, test data presented as real enquiries, or requests for the purpose of harvesting installer pricing without genuine intent.
• We may decline, remove or flag requests that appear fraudulent, duplicate or abusive.

4. For installers

Installer participation is governed by the application process, our installer standards, and any onboarding terms agreed separately. Customer details received through the platform may be used only to respond to the specific enquiry; marketing use requires the customer's separate consent. We may suspend or remove network members as described in the standards.

5. Intellectual property

Site content, branding and design are owned by us or licensed to us. You may print or save pages for your own commercial decision-making; republishing content requires permission.

6. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that: the site is provided "as is"; we don't warrant uninterrupted availability; and to the extent permitted by law we're not liable for loss arising from work performed (or not performed) by installers, from reliance on general information, or from events outside our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it's limited to re-supplying the service.

7. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance for future use.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state or territory in which the operating entity is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
