This policy explains how the operator of OfficeWindowTinting.com.au ("we", "us"), trading as OfficeWindowTinting.com.au, handles personal information collected through this website. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This document is our privacy policy, not legal advice to you.

What we collect

Quote requests: your name, company, work email, phone number, preferred contact method and optional job title; the property's postcode, suburb, state and (optionally) address; project details such as objectives, glass locations, size, access, timing, optional budget and notes.
Installer applications: business identity (legal name, trading name, ABN), contacts, service areas, services, insurance details, experience and preferences.
Technical and attribution data: submission timestamps, IP-derived request metadata, user agent, referrer, landing page and campaign (UTM) parameters.
Correspondence: emails you send us.
Optional analytics data: only if you accept analytics cookies (see Analytics below).

Why we collect it

To match quote requests with relevant window-tinting businesses and administer the service.
To verify submissions are genuine (fraud, spam and duplicate controls).
To assess installer applications and operate the installer network.
To improve the service and, where separately consented, send marketing emails.
To meet legal obligations and keep appropriate business records.

Disclosure to installers: the important part

When you submit a quote request, you're shown this consent statement (version 2026-07-v1) and must actively agree before submission:

I agree that OfficeWindowTinting.com.au may contact me about this request and share the information I have provided with up to three window-tinting businesses that may be able to quote for the project.

With that consent, we disclose the information in your request, including your contact details, to up to three window-tinting businesses so they can quote for your project. We record the consent wording, version and timestamp with every request. Matched businesses are told they may contact you about this enquiry only and must not add you to marketing lists without your separate consent. We don't sell your details to data brokers or anyone else.

Marketing consent is separate

Marketing emails from us require a separate, optional, unticked checkbox. Requesting quotes never signs you up for marketing, and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

Service providers we use

Operating the platform involves these categories of processors:

Hosting and delivery: Netlify (website and form processing).
Database and authentication: Supabase (lead and installer records).
Transactional email: Resend (confirmations and notifications).
Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile (verifying submissions are human).
Optional analytics: Google Analytics 4 and/or Meta Pixel, only when configured and only after you accept analytics cookies.

Some providers process data on servers outside Australia (typically the United States). Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle personal information consistently with Australian privacy law.

Analytics and cookies

Non-essential analytics run only after you choose "Allow analytics" in the consent banner. Declining doesn't affect the quote service in any way. Essential storage (such as saving your quote-form progress in your browser's session storage) is used to make the form work and stays on your device.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled databases with row-level security, signed action links, and server-side validation of all submissions. No internet service can promise perfect security, but access to personal information is limited to what operating the service requires.

Retention

We keep quote-request and matching records while they're needed to operate the service and meet record-keeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them. You can request earlier deletion at any time (below), subject to records we're required to keep.

Access, correction and deletion

Email privacy@officewindowtinting.com.au to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We'll respond within a reasonable period and verify your identity before acting. Note that businesses already matched to your request hold their own copy of it and are separately responsible for handling it lawfully.

Complaints

Complaints about our handling of your information go to privacy@officewindowtinting.com.au. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
